Science Teacher
Job description
A secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Biology Teacher to join their science department this September. As a Biology Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and challenge students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring they develop a strong understanding of biological concepts and are well-prepared for their GCSE exams. The school encourages an interactive approach to learning, where practical experiments and real-world applications are key components of the curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Biology and a passion for teaching. You will need to create lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and challenging, catering to students of various abilities. The school has modern science labs and offers ample resources to support your teaching.
Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering engaging Biology lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4

Preparing students for GCSE exams and providing support through assessments and revision sessions

Using practical experiments to enhance students’ understanding of scientific concepts

Providing constructive feedback and tracking student progress

Collaborating with the science department to share best practices and resources

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
