Science Teacher – Southampton

Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: January 2024 (with the option to start earlier)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for your next role? Teaching Personnel is working closely with secondary schools across Southampton, and we are seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and help inspire the next generation of scientists.

The Role
As a Science Teacher, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering dynamic lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 & KS4 level.
  • Assessing, tracking, and monitoring student progress, ensuring that all students are reaching their full potential.
  • Encouraging a love for science, and promoting practical learning and scientific enquiry.
  • Collaborating with your department to develop innovative teaching strategies that make science accessible and enjoyable for all students.
  • Preparing students for GCSE exams and supporting them with revision strategies.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience in teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
