Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with an outstanding rated school in the heart of Southampton, Hampshire and are seeking an Science Cover Teacher.

The Role: They are seeking a dedicated and flexible Science Cover Teacher to join their team. This role involves delivering high-quality lessons, ensuring continuity of learning for students. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly to different teaching requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in the absence of regular teachers.
  • Ensure students stay on track with learning objectives.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Adapt to teaching various subjects as required by the school.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • QTS is desired but as a minimum previous experience teaching Science and hold a degree in the subject.
  • Experience in a classroom setting is desirable, though not essential.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
