Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for an exciting new challenge?


We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Penzance, Cornwall, on a full-time maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to showcase their teaching skills, inspire young minds, and work in a school that prides itself on academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 (ages 11-16) in line with the National Curriculum.

Plan and prepare innovative lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.

Collaborate with the wider teaching team and school leadership to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Strong background in Science teaching, with experience delivering lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.

A passion for Science and a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their best.

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.

Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
