Science Teacher – Permanent Role in Nottingham (NG5)

A well-regarded secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will join a supportive and high-performing science department, delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Inspire students with a passion for science, encouraging inquiry-based learning and practical investigation
• Assess and track student progress, using data to inform lesson planning and provide targeted support
• Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, engagement, and academic success
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies
• Contribute to extracurricular science activities, such as STEM clubs, competitions, and educational trips
• Engage with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and attainment

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (experience with A-Level Science is desirable but not essential)
• A strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
• A commitment to continuous professional development and school improvement
