Science Teacher required for secondary school in Havant
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join the team at an established secondary school starting in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic educators, whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Careers Teacher. We are looking for someone who can inspire students and deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.

About the Science Department
The Science Department is a dynamic, collaborative team of subject specialists. The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an inspiring and motivated Science Teacher who is committed to delivering excellent educational experiences and fostering a love of learning in students of all abilities. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Careers Teacher with a genuine enthusiasm for Science and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A strong subject knowledge in Science, with the ability to teach engaging, innovative lessons that challenge and inspire students to achieve their best.
- Proven experience in differentiating lessons and supporting students of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- A passion for student progress, ensuring that pupils of all backgrounds are motivated, engaged, and achieving strong outcomes.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- A proactive attitude towards contributing to the wider school community, including participating in extracurricular activities, school trips, and enrichment opportunities.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing ideas and resources to continually enhance teaching and learning in the department.
- A commitment to professional development, with a desire to improve practice, engage in training, and contribute to the development of the Science department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Plan and assess lessons that meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring strong progress and engagement.
- Contribute to the school’s strong safeguarding culture by supporting students' well-being and development.
- Take on a tutor group and participate in the school’s house system, contributing to pastoral care and the wider school community.
- Actively participate in department and school-wide enrichment activities, including trips and extracurricular projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and best practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
