Science Teacher required for secondary school in Havant

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with an 11-16 coeducational secondary school in Havant. The school is graded ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted and is well-regarded for its commitment to academic excellence and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. It is easily accessible by car and public transport, with excellent connections to the surrounding area.

The school is seeking a permanent Science Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and qualified teacher to inspire students and contribute to a thriving Science department.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Experienced in Teaching Science: Confident delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Passionate About Science Education: Committed to inspiring students and fostering a love for learning within the subject.
  • Organised and Professional: Capable of planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons while maintaining accurate records of student progress.
  • Effective in Behaviour Management: Skilled at maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • An Excellent Communicator: Able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons in line with the school curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure academic success.
  • Contribute to the development of the Science department, including curriculum planning and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support students’ needs and achievements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
