About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Didsbury on a temporary basis starting in January 2024. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to fostering a love of science among students and enhancing their understanding of key scientific concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons across various year groups, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum.
  • Develop lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities, promoting inclusivity in the classroom.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
  • Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the overall development of the school’s community.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) with a specialisation in science.
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary school science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
  • Previous experience teaching at the secondary level is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
