Science Teacher
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent Position
Location: Bradford
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience
Start Date: April 2025 or sooner

A highly reputable secondary school in Bradford is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join its permanent staff team. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational educator to contribute to a thriving Science department within a supportive and forward-thinking learning environment.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on experience and expertise. They will play a key role in fostering a passion for Science, encouraging academic excellence, and supporting student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of engaging learning resources.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel motivated to achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to whole-school initiatives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
