Science Teacher – Ignite Curiosity and Fuel Discovery

Start Date: Flexible (Immediate, post Feb half term, post Easter, September)

About the Role

A highly regarded secondary school in Botley is seeking a Science Teacher who is eager to spark a passion for learning. In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics.
  • Encourage inquisitive thinking and experimentation, helping students see real-world applications of scientific concepts.
  • Collaborate within a supportive Science department, sharing ideas and best practice to enhance student outcomes.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that nurtures confidence and resilience, ensuring all students make progress.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Science.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for helping students understand and appreciate the wonders of science.
  • Effective classroom management and the ability to differentiate teaching strategies for varied learning needs.
  • A desire to contribute to the school community, participating in extracurricular activities or STEM clubs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
