Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher who can inspire and engage students through dynamic and innovative teaching methods. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality science lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the overall success of the science department.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages student curiosity and achievement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work, share best practices, and contribute to the wider school community.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching science at the secondary level in the UK.
- A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and the promotion of scientific inquiry.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
