Job description

Science Teacher
Pay Range: MPS/UPS + SEN allowance £2,679 PA (applicable for QTS holders only)
Working Hours- 32.5 hours per week / 39 weeks per annum
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with a large SEN school based in Basingstoke. The school are looking for an experienced and passionate Science Teacher to join there team.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake any duties of an appropriate nature as may be reasonably required by the Head of Campus to which he/she may be directed to work as a teacher.
  • To participate in any arrangements within an agreed national framework for the appraisal of his/her own performance and that of other staff.
  • To maintain both the health and safety of self, colleagues and critically of all students including good order and discipline: to do so within the school’s policies and guidelines.
  • To be familiar with and follow all the school’s policies and guidelines on all areas and aspects of school life.
  • To play a full part in the cycle of school and self-evaluation, plan-do-review.
  • To maintain a classroom  the highest standard: supporting the comfort, safety, self-esteem and learning of the students.

Desirable

  • PGCE
  • FE qualified
  • QTS

Essential

  • Need experience of teaching science

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
