A secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join their dynamic and supportive team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to a thriving Science department.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4. With a focus on making scientific concepts accessible and exciting, the Science Teacher will play a key role in helping students develop a deep understanding of the world around them. This is a full-time, permanent position offering excellent professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to students of varying abilities
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to aid their development
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of the Science curriculum
  • Promote a love of Science and encourage students to explore and think critically
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience
  • Foster a safe and positive classroom environment conducive to learning

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)
  • Passionate about engaging students and making Science exciting and relevant
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 is preferred, but newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply
