Are you passionate about science and eager to support students in their learning? A secondary school in Fareham is seeking a Science supply teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time, temporary basis, with the potential for extension.
The Role:
As a Science Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education in the absence of the class teacher. You will be responsible for:
- Supervising and managing classrooms, ensuring students remain engaged in pre-set work.
- Delivering science lesson content confidently across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning & marking of classwork.
- Upholding high expectations for behaviour and learning in line with school policies.
- Offering support and guidance to students to help them stay on track with their studies.
- Liaising with teaching staff and reporting back on student progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
✔️ Has good subject knowledge in Science and a passion for education.
✔️ Has experience working in the UK education system for at least 6 months.
✔️ Can confidently manage a classroom and engage students in learning.
✔️ Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✔️ Is adaptable, proactive, and able to work effectively in a school setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
