Are you a newly qualified Science teacher with a passion for sparking curiosity and a love for learning in students? We are thrilled to offer a full-time position for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) in Science at our vibrant and inclusive school in Rochdale, starting in September 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your teaching career in a supportive environment where your growth and development are a priority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5 in the future.
  • Create and implement dynamic lesson plans that adhere to the national curriculum and inspire a love for Science.
  • Assess, track, and support student progress, providing constructive feedback to help each student reach their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department to share ideas, resources, and best practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recently qualified teacher (ECT) with a specialism in any Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
  • A strong passion for Science and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and collaborate with a team of experienced educators.
  • Dedication to making a positive impact on students’ academic and personal development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
