Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated Science Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team in Halifax from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students across Key Stage 3 and 4, helping them develop a strong understanding and passion for Science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4
- Promote a deep understanding of scientific concepts and foster curiosity among students
- Support students in achieving their potential through differentiated learning strategies
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for inquiry-based learning
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, respectful learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan, assess, and track student progress
- Participate in school-wide events, activities, and professional development opportunities
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A strong background in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or General Science)
- Previous teaching experience (KS3 and/or KS4)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A passion for teaching and inspiring students to excel in Science
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
