Salary:  ALT Grade D 8-11 - £11,385.76 - £11,656.54  Actual Salary
Position: Permanent, Part-time (Monday - Friday 8:45am - 12:45pm)

A highly reputable and growing primary school in Ely, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a dedicated and efficient Administrative Assistant to join their permanent staff from April 2025 or sooner. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the school's administration and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general administrative support to school leadership and staff.
• Manage and maintain filing systems, both physical and digital.
• Assist with the preparation of communications and correspondence.
• Support with the coordination of meetings and events.
• Handle general inquiries from parents, students, and visitors.
• Maintain school records, including student data and staff information.
• Assist in managing school resources and supplies.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
• Knowledge of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
• A friendly and professional manner when interacting with students, staff, and parents.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in a school environment or familiarity with school-based administration.
• Knowledge of SIMS (School Information Management System) or similar software.
• First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
