Future Teachers Programme – Salaried Secondary Teacher Training
Location: Secondary Schools across Salford & Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Up to £24,224 during your teacher training year
Are you a graduate looking to train as a secondary school teacher? Our Future Teachers Programme offers a salaried pathway into teaching, giving you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience before progressing onto a fully funded teacher training course through our partner trust.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education who want to train on the job, earning while they learn and working towards a PGCE with QTS in their subject specialism.
Programme Overview:
- Year 1: Work as a Cover Supervisor, developing classroom confidence and gaining essential experience.
- Year 2: Progress onto a salaried teacher training contract with a school, earning up to £24,224 while completing your PGCE.
- Receive support and training throughout your journey to becoming a qualified teacher.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in a relevant subject for secondary teaching.
- Passion for education and a genuine interest in working with young people.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to completing teacher training in a Salford or Greater Manchester secondary school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
