TP-Tutors is on the lookout for experienced tutors, especially those coming out of retirement, to provide English and Maths tuition in the Plymouth area. As a 1:1 tutor, you’ll be designing and delivering catch-up programs for children in care or those not currently in school.
We’ve seen a surge in demand for tuition, particularly to support students preparing for their GCSEs. We need specialists in core subjects to meet this demand, but we also cater to KS1 and KS2 pupils, so your expertise is welcome, whatever your background.

To be successful, you’ll need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent
- Experience with primary or secondary-aged children
- Enthusiasm, engagement, and resilience
It’s a bonus if you:
- Have experience in 1:1 tuition
- Are skilled at managing challenging behaviors
- Understand Special Educational Needs (SEN) or are willing to learn
