Teacher of Religious Studies

Part time, temporary, Leyland

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Religious Studies to join a well-established department in a thriving secondary school in Leyland. This part-time role offers the opportunity to inspire students, encourage their academic growth, and share your enthusiasm for religious studies in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Religious Studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, effective, and inclusive lessons.
  • Assess student progress, providing feedback and supporting development.
  • Promote a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities as appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A strong passion for Religious Studies and teaching.
  • Ability to engage students with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Previous teaching experience is desirable, but not essential.
