Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in early years education? We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our team on a supply basis, supporting a vibrant and welcoming Reception class in Gateshead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met.

• Support children in developing foundational skills, including early literacy and numeracy.

• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

• Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and resources.

• Monitor and record children’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within Early Years or Reception, is highly desirable.

• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or relevant experience).

• A genuine passion for supporting young learners and a patient, nurturing approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility and adaptability to work on a supply basis, often at short notice.

• A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
