Basis: Supply/Temporary

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in early years education? We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our team on a supply basis, supporting a vibrant and welcoming Reception class in Gateshead.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
-
Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met.
-
Support children in developing foundational skills, including early literacy and numeracy.
-
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
-
Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and resources.
-
Monitor and record children’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within Early Years or Reception, is highly desirable.

A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or relevant experience).

A genuine passion for supporting young learners and a patient, nurturing approach.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Flexibility and adaptability to work on a supply basis, often at short notice.
-
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
