Qualified Teacher of Science
Teaching Personnel are the exclusive partner of a Secondary Academy in Biggleswade recruiting a Science Teacher to join them on a temporary contract.
- Location: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract: Temporary contract (4-8 weeks)
- Pay: M1 - M6, UPS 1 -3, Contract would pay weekly on a daily rate equivalent £150 - 230+ for Qualified Teachers)
Are you a skilled, ambitious Teacher of Science? Are you passionate about Science and engaging young adults into this STEM subject? This is temporary but exciting opportunity for a Science Teacher to support a secondary academy in Biggleswade. The contract would last a minimum of 4 weeks, possibly extending to 8 weeks from March 2025 to May 2025.
Could this be you? Do you demonstrate:
- Passion for teaching Science
- PGCE Qualification specialising in Science or related-subject
- Excellent knowledge of GCSE Science is essential
- Excellent understanding of teaching Secondary age pupils
- A 'can do' and positive attitude to inspire pupils
- An ability to motivate and inspire, whilst using your own initiative
- Willingness to learn and support others
- Patient and friendly attitude
- High levels of resilience and emotional intelligence.

This is a small School based in the rural town of Biggleswade, delivering high quality education to KS3 and KS4 hosting 169 pupils. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
