An Ofsted-rated GOOD secondary school in the heart of Kingston is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join their permanent staff from January 2025. The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics teaching to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5. The role requires a passion for the subject, innovative teaching methods, and a commitment to raising student attainment in a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Support students' progression by delivering challenging and engaging content.
  • Work collaboratively with the Mathematics department to develop and share best practices.
  • Contribute to the broader life of the school through participation in enrichment activities.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4 (experience at Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of the UK national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • A passion for inspiring young people and a desire to contribute to their academic and personal development.
  • A commitment to professional development and collaboration with colleagues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
