Vacancy: Teacher of Mathematics
Location: Darwen, Lancashire

A large and rapidly improving secondary school in Darwen is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join its committed team from January 2025. The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Teach mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the potential to teach Key Stage 5, depending on experience).
- Deliver engaging, challenging, and inclusive lessons to inspire a love of mathematics.
- Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, providing effective feedback and support.
- Collaborate with the mathematics department to develop innovative schemes of work and resources.
- Play an active role in the school’s extra-curricular and enrichment programs.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a recognized teaching qualification.
- A strong subject knowledge in mathematics and the ability to deliver the curriculum effectively.
- A proven track record (or the potential) of achieving positive outcomes for students of varying abilities.
- Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.
- An enthusiasm for making mathematics accessible, exciting, and relevant for all learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
