Role: Maths Teacher
Area: Bolton
Salary: MPS/Ups, Dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent, fulltime
Start: January 2025 or sooner

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a thriving and fast-improving mixed comprehensive secondary school and sixth form located in Bolton. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative Mathematics Department and will play a key role in delivering outstanding learning experiences for students across all key stages. The school has a well-established reputation for supporting professional development and encouraging innovation in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons in line with the curriculum across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Assessing, tracking, and providing feedback on student progress.
  • Inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential in Mathematics.
  • Contributing to the department’s continued success and improvement.
  • Engaging with parents and carers, as well as collaborating with colleagues to support student well-being and development.
  • Participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and staff training sessions.

Essential Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level, including KS5.
  • Strong knowledge of the current Maths curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • A passion for Maths and an ability to inspire enthusiasm in students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and the ethos of the school.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience teaching A-Level Maths.
  • Experience working within a comprehensive school environment.
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.
