Job Advertisement: Pupil Support Worker (SEMH Secondary School)
Location: Chorley
Contract: Full-Time, with Potential for Permanent Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pupil Support Worker to join our team at a Secondary School in Chorley that specializes in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people facing additional challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Assist in the development of tailored learning strategies and behaviour management plans.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to support the holistic development of each student.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in working with children or young people with SEMH or similar special educational needs.
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and resilient approach to working in a dynamic educational setting.
- Availability for full-time work.
This position initially offers the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the school environment on a trial basis. Successful candidates may be considered for a permanent role based on performance and fit within the team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
