About the Role:
Our client, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Norwich, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pupil & Family Welfare Lead to join their supportive team. This is a vital role aimed at ensuring the welfare, safety, and overall wellbeing of pupils and their families, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils’ emotional and social development, working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams.

Act as a key point of contact for families, offering guidance, support, and signposting to external services where appropriate.

Monitor attendance and work with families to improve persistent absence.

Liaise with external agencies including social care, early help, and safeguarding professionals.

Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans and pastoral care strategies.

Promote an inclusive environment where all children feel safe, valued, and able to thrive.
Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience working in a school or pastoral setting, particularly with vulnerable children and families.

Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
-
Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and professionals.
-
Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
-
Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting children’s wellbeing.
-
Relevant qualifications or training in social care, safeguarding, or education (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
