Psychology Teacher
Location: Redcar
Salary: £30,000- £49,084


About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Psychology Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Redcar. If you are passionate about psychology and eager to inspire young minds, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, developing critical thinking skills, and helping students explore the fascinating world of human behaviour, cognition, and mental processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective Psychology lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support learning and development
  • Student Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and discussion
  • Inclusion: Tailor lessons and resources to meet the diverse needs of all students
  • Extra-Curricular: Support and lead extra-curricular activities, such as psychology clubs or competitions
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the department
  • Support: Provide additional support to students outside of class to help them reach their full potential

Key Skills

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Expertise: Strong background in Psychology, with a passion for teaching the subject
  • Experience: Experience teaching Psychology at secondary school level is desirable, though NQTs are encouraged to apply
  • Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage students and create an inclusive learning environment
  • Commitment: Enthusiasm for professional development and staying current with developments in psychology and education

Requirements

  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide at least two professional employment references.
