At Teaching Personnel, we’re partnering with thriving secondary schools and colleges in the Gateshead region, offering exciting roles for Psychology graduates who are eager to apply their knowledge in the classroom. Schools are seeking graduates with an understanding of behaviour theory, well-being, and additional learning needs to support students in their educational journey.
These positions offer invaluable hands-on experience that could pave the way for future career paths in teaching, educational psychology, or clinical roles.
No prior experience necessary – just a passion for learning and a desire to make a difference.
About the Role:
- Daily Rate: £90 - £100
- Full & Part-Time Positions Available
- 1:1 Support for students needing additional help
- General Classroom Support
- Opportunities for Career Progression – Apply for our Future Teachers Programme starting in September 2025
- Start Date: As soon as possible with roles lasting through the summer, potentially leading to a contract
- Impactful Work in a rewarding and dynamic environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with staff and students
- Confident in managing challenging behaviour while maintaining a positive classroom environment
- A genuine passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to students' individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
