Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for psychology graduates to take on teaching assistant roles in specialist secondary schools in Manchester full-time in January. These roles will specifically use skills and knowledge from within a Psychology degree, and will allow you to increase education based experience.

The schools work with students with SEN and SEMH needs, where students will need additional support to ensure they are progressing at a steady rate. You will be involved with supporting teachers to monitor behaviour, ensure lessons go ahead as planned, and providing individualised support for the students that you will build a relationship with.

For these roles you should:

-          Be able to work with secondary aged children who have additional needs

-          Have some experience working with children

-          Have graduated with a psychology degree or be graduating this year with some modules completed in development or mental health

-          Be available full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
