Location: Litchfield
Contract Type: Full-Time (Temporary to Permanent)
Salary: £425 - £450 per week

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Lichfield to recruit enthusiastic teaching assistants for full-time positions, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM to 3:30 PM). This independent school caters to boys and girls aged 7 to 18, offering outstanding support to students with complex needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Autism, and other SEN requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring knowledge and experience of SEN and demonstrate a passion for supporting young learners.
In 2014, TES recognized this school as the SEN School of the Year, and Ofsted has commended its exceptional teaching, which enables students to achieve outstanding progress. The school’s curriculum is enhanced by integrated therapeutic activities delivered by expert psychological and occupational therapy teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teaching staff in lesson delivery
- Leading small group sessions
- Providing one-on-one support for students needing additional assistance
- Monitoring student progress and sharing insights with teaching staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field
- Knowledge of SEN and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs
- A genuine passion for education and working with young people
- Possess a current, clear DBS or be willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
