Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Supporting Children with SEN in Primary Schools Across Bristol

We are looking for motivated and compassionate Psychology Graduates to join our team as Teaching Assistants in primary schools across Bristol.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your psychological expertise to work with children with varying levels of SEN. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work, we offer flexible days to fit your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Use your knowledge of psychology to help adapt learning strategies for children with a range of needs
- Assist in implementing behavior management strategies to encourage positive learning experiences
- Work closely with teachers and SEN specialists to monitor student progress and development
- Provide emotional and educational support to children, fostering their confidence and independence
- Ensure children’s well-being and safety in and out of the classroom
Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology (or related field)
- A passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN
- Strong understanding of child development and psychological principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working with children is an advantage but not essential
- Flexibility to work across different primary schools in Bristol

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £49.50, plus an annual subscription fee of £16 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
