Do you have expertise in tailoring learning experiences for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Dyslexia? About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Primary Tutor to join our team in Reading. You will play a vital role in providing personalised, high-quality tuition to primary-aged children, helping them build confidence, achieve academic progress, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess each student’s needs and abilities to develop tailored lesson plans.
- Deliver engaging and structured sessions in line with individual learning goals.
- Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on progress to parents/guardians.
- Foster a positive and encouraging relationship with students to boost their confidence and motivation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with SEN (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia).
- Proven ability to assess, plan, and deliver individualised learning sessions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and liaise effectively with parents.
- Patience, empathy, and creativity to adapt teaching methods to suit each child’s unique needs.
- A relevant teaching or SEN qualification is highly desirable but not essential if experience is strong.
Pay: £20-£25 per hour, depending on experience.
Location: Reading and surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
