Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit a Classroom Assistant to join a Primary School on a full-time basis, starting in September 2024. As a teaching assistant, the role will be to provide support to both the children and teacher in the class and using initiative where required. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to create good relationships with the children and staff in the school to ensure a positive learning environment is provided. You may also be expected to complete interventions with small groups of children with maths and literacy, therefore confidence with these subjects is desired.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting the children with classwork and activities in a group setting or individual basis
- Assisting the teacher with preparation of materials and resources needed for lessons
- Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Provide supervision to the children during class and break times
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Desire to support children and assist with their learning and development
- Experience with children in a professional or personal setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
