Job description

Are you passionate about supporting students in their educational journey? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistants to meet the growing needs of schools across St Austell, Cornwall. Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Time Support: Provide consistent, full-time assistance to teachers across multiple schools in St Austell, ensuring a stable and productive learning environment.
  • 1-1 Assistance: Offer tailored support to individual students, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
  • SEN Support: Work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting to their unique requirements and contributing to their educational progress.
  • Classroom Assistance: Assist in the delivery of lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and support small group activities to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborative Work: Work effectively with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff members to meet the diverse needs of students.

About You:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational or SEN setting, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Commitment: A reliable and dependable individual who can commit to full-time work and meet the ongoing needs of multiple schools.
  • Qualifications: A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants with a passion for education and a willingness to learn.
  • DBS Check: Must hold or be willing to obtain a DBS check on the update service.
