Primary Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and hardworking Primary Teaching Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced teachers in creating an engaging and supportive learning experience for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Classroom Learning: Assist the teacher in delivering lessons, working with small groups, and offering tailored support to individual students.
  • Promote Positive Behaviour: Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and focused learning environment by encouraging good behaviour and engagement from all students.
  • Provide Pastoral Care: Support the social and emotional development of students, providing encouragement and being a positive role model.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with preparing learning materials, monitoring student progress, and completing relevant reports.
  • Special Educational Needs Support: Work closely with students with additional learning needs, providing one-to-one support and helping them achieve their full potential.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Passionate about Education: A genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Relevant Experience: Experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, teachers, and parents.
  • Team Player: A collaborative approach to working with teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning.
  • Proactive and Adaptable: Ability to adapt to various classroom situations and demonstrate initiative in supporting the teacher and students.
  • Patience and Empathy: A caring approach and ability to nurture the emotional well-being of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
