Supply Teacher – Starting January 2025
We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Supply Teachers to join our supportive Primary Schools in Selby and the surrounding areas. In this flexible role, you will support young learners across two key stages in primary education, helping them reach their full potential while maintaining a positive work-life balance.
Location: Selby and surrounding areas, North Yorkshire
Salary: £120 - £140 per day
Hours: Flexible, 1–5 days per week
About the role:
As our network of partner schools continues to grow, we are looking for talented primary specialists to provide flexible, short-term supply cover across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. Whether you are available just one day a week or up to five days, we welcome your application!
Most of the work will be pre-booked; however, there may be occasions where you are called between 7–9am for same-day bookings. You will follow each school’s policies, mark pupils' work, and provide detailed handover notes for the Class Teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualified Teacher: Hold QTS and experience across at least two Key Stages in primary (EYFS, KS1, or KS2).
- Flexibility: Be available for 1–5 days per week, with a willingness to travel up to 30 minutes to local schools.
- Behaviour Management: Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills to create a positive learning environment.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum to deliver engaging and impactful lessons.
- Organisation: Be hard-working, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of teaching.
- Adaptability: Confidently work in different schools and adapt to their individual policies and environments.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Maintain an excellent understanding of safeguarding practices.
- DBS Compliance: Hold a DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
