KS1 Teacher with QTS
Peckham, London
Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join a vibrant and dynamic primary school in Peckham. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching young children, have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, and be committed to fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils. -
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages pupils to achieve their full potential.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs and abilities of all students.
  • Manage classroom behavior in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to support pupil development and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational best practices and policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • A clear DBS check.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a similar role within a diverse and multicultural school setting.
  • Additional qualifications or training relevant to primary education.
  • Experience using modern educational technology in the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
