Year 2 Teacher in Southampton

Location : Southampton

Contract type : Permanent full time

Hours : Full time term time from, 8:15 – 15:45 

Salary : £ 120 – £200 per day experience dependant

Start date  : ASAP

Teaching Personnel are working with a friendly school in Southampton find a Year 2 / KS1 Teacher to join their team.

The school is a caring and supportive place where children are encouraged to be curious, ask questions, and enjoy learning both in the classroom and outside. They’re looking for someone who is kind, enthusiastic, and enjoys working with young children.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Love teaching and wants to help young children learn and grow in a fun and supportive way.
  • Can plan and teach interesting lessons that keep children engaged and excited to learn.
  • Has a positive attitude and always tries their best to help children do well
  • Knows what children in Year 2 need to learn, like reading, writing, maths, and other subjects.
  • Can check how children are doing in their learning, and use that to plan lessons that meet their needs and help them improve.

Qualifications: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS )
  • Experience of teaching in a primary school, Year 2 preferred.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
