Job description

A welcoming and inclusive "Outstanding" rated primary school in Newcastle is seeking a class teacher who is a team player with ambition, energy, and a passion for education to join their successful staff team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in curriculum planning and delivery, as well as excellent communication skills and high standards for pupil behaviour and achievement.

The school is looking for an experienced KS1 teacher to take on the responsibility of teaching their Year 1 class. Planning is largely in place as they have excellent KS1 resources available, with PPA time allocated to allow for adjustments where needed. You will work alongside experienced, permanent teachers in the year group who will provide support.

This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be paid to scale in recognition of the responsibilities involved.

Requirements for Applicants

  • High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Recent and relevant Year 1/KS1 experience
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work well in a team
  • Flexibility and a commitment to making a positive contribution
  • UK QTS and dedication to working within the primary sector

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
