Job Duties:

The primary teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to primary school students. They must create a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and assess student progress. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues and parents to support the overall development of each child.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience working with primary school children.

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field is required, along with the necessary teaching qualifications.

Experience:

Previous experience teaching in Year 6 is required. 

Knowledge and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, effective leadership abilities, the initiative to drive student progress, and expertise in behaviour management techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in special education or specific subject areas are desirable.

Working Conditions:

The primary teacher will work in a primary school setting, following the school calendar and daily schedule. They may need to attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and participate in professional development activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
