Are you an experienced teacher looking for a new role in September?

Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic KS1 teacher to start in September 2023. We are currently working alongside an amazing primary school based in Ealing who are looking to add to their close-knit team.

The school is situated in the heart of Southall in the London Borough of Ealing. The school has been at the centre of the local community for over 100 years and pride themselves on firmly holding the pupils’ best interests at the heart of everything they do.

They’re a culturally diverse two-form entry school with 500 pupils on roll from Nursery to Year 6 and across the school there are 26 different languages spoken. They foster a love of learning and provide our pupils with the aspirations to become whoever it is they want to be in the future.

Main roles and Responsibilities –

 

  • Participate in planning and staff meetings.
  • Teaching all pupils in your class according to the National curriculum.
  • Targeting and adapting the lesson to the specific needs of each child.
  • Completing all records and assessments determined by the school’s policy.
  • Making use of ICT to enhance understanding of tasks and lessons.
  • Organising resources for the subject/area so that they are accessible, orderly, well labelled and appropriate.
  • Involve pupils in self and peer assessment.
  • Using a variety of teaching and learning styles to ensure and maintain high standards of learning, behaviour and progress in the class.
  • Attend all assessment, progression and development meetings as well as parents evening.
  • Create and build appropriate teacher – parent relationships.
  • Prepare pupils for going into next academic year.
  • Liase with other teachers regarding pupil information and needs.
  • Always operate within the set policies of the school.
  • Leading classes by giving lectures, demonstrating tasks, assigning tasks and encouraging discussions
  • Answering students questions
  • Setting homework or exercises for students to practice their skills after class

 

Key skills and requirements –

  • Qualified Teaching status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience in KS1.
  • A good understanding of the curriculum and behavioural management techniques.
  • Reliable.
  • Punctual.
  • Compassionate.
  • IT competent.
  • Presentable and professional.

Job type – Permanent, contract

Salary - £20,000 - £40,000

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
