Primary Teacher

Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) seeking flexible work opportunities in the Cardiff area? We are currently recruiting for a Supply NQT to join our pool of educators. This is an excellent chance to gain valuable experience in a variety of school settings while enjoying the flexibility to manage your own schedule.

As a supply teacher you will have full control of your diary made easy by having access to our Teaching Personnel app. This will allow you to input what days you’re available and what days you’re not which will allow you to maintain your healthy work-life balance. As a supply teacher you will be expected to work in a range of schools across Cardiff so the ability to drive is preferred but not essential so long as you’re willing to travel to schools in other ways.

Responsibilities:

• Step in as a substitute teacher when needed, delivering high-quality lessons across different subject areas and age groups.
• Adapt quickly to new environments and establish rapport with students to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Follow lesson plans provided by regular classroom teachers or create engaging activities if plans are unavailable.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
• Provide feedback to regular classroom teachers regarding student progress and any notable occurrences during the day.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (can be sorted during application process)
• EWC registration (can be completed during application process)
