Who qualifies as a Supply Teacher?

To be eligible, you must:

  • Possess UK QTS.
  • Have experience across 2 Key Stages (EYFS and KS1 or KS1 and KS2).
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and a flexible attitude.
  • Be available 2 to 5 days per week.
  • Have your own transport and be willing to travel up to 30 minutes.

What does being a Supply Teacher entail?

While most assignments will be scheduled in advance, there may be occasions when you receive calls between 7 am and 9 am for same-day work. Most schools provide the day's lesson plans, but it’s important to have a repertoire of resources suitable for all year groups. Working across various schools, you’ll:

  • Adhere to each institution’s policies.
  • Assess students' work.
  • Provide detailed handover notes for the returning class teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
