Job Title: Supply Teacher

Location: London, Hackney

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £135 - £175 Per day

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons to students in the absence of regular classroom teachers
  • Adhere to the school's curriculum and lesson plans
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • Prior experience working as a teacher in a school setting
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the national curriculum
  • Effective classroom management techniques
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience teaching in different key stages

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily during school hours
  • Potential for temporary assignments in different schools
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents/guardians

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
