Job description

A primary SEN school in Manchester is looking for a teacher to take on a full-time position. The school are dedicated to providing high quality education and support tailored to the needs of each student, and work to create an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that cater to the individual needs of students
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess student’ progress and feed this back to other members of staff and parents/carers
  • Manage a team of specialist support assistants within the classroom and guide their work to ensure all students are receiving the best individualised support

Requirements for this role

  • Primary Teaching Qualification
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of SEN interventions and best practice
  • Patience, empathy and a passion for working with children with a variety of needs
  • Full-time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
