Job description

PPA Cover Teacher

This is a wonderful opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic teacher, who has experience working with children between EYFS and KS2. You will need to be confident supporting children across school and have a good understanding of the National Curriculum.

Location: Whitworth, Lancashire.

Pay: £120 - £140 per day

Full-time Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 15:30pm

You will need to:

-       Teach and cover a range of classes across school (KS1 and KS2, possibly EYFS).

-       Plan and deliver engaging lessons, using the National Curriculum.

-       Communicate effectively with the Class Teacher and Teaching Assistants across school.

-       Build relationships with all children and staff.

-       Ensure that children continue to receive high-quality education in the teacher’s absence.

-       Be hard-working, organised and committed to raising standards.

-       Be able to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.

-       Create a positive and engaging learning environment and experience.

Requirements:

-       Good understanding of the National Curriculum.

-       ECT and Experience Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or HLTA qualification.

-       The highest commitment to safeguarding and ensuring the safety of pupils.

-       Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.

-       Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
