Job Title: Graduate KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Poulton-le-Fylde

Start Date: 2/6/2025

Hours: Full-Time (Monday – Friday)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role: Are you a psychology graduate passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants in Poulton-le-Fylde. This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to students with diverse needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with SEN students, offering one-on-one and group support.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to create effective strategies for student progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
  • Support students in developing social skills and managing behavioural challenges.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology or a similar field.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and the challenges faced by students with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
