PMLD Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking experienced and passionate Teaching Assistants to work in one of our partner Specialist School catering for educational needs.
We are looking for individuals to support the school on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday.
PAY 83.85 PER DAY
The Job Role:
- Assisting learners 1:1, and on some occasions with personal care
- To support the teacher as directed.
- To carry out all duties as directed by teachers to maximise learning opportunities for all pupils and young people.
- To assist with target setting, record keeping and assessment in classes.
- To participate in, and complete reports for, Statutory Reviews and meetings concerning the pupils and young people.
- To assist with the planning and preparation of materials and learning resources.
- To always be a role model to the pupils and young people.
- To supervise pupils and young people outside classroom activities, e.g. mealtimes and recreation times, as requested.
- Ensure safeguarding is adhered to constantly
Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience with PLMD, including Care Work and Personal experience
- GCSE’S minimum of 5, graded A* - C
- Preferred: Driving License
- Preferred: Experience with young people
- DBS Enhanced Child Only – We can help you with this!
- EWC - We can help you with this!
- Safeguarding Level 2, we provide the training for this!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
