PMLD Teaching Assistant – Beverley
Location: Beverley, East Yorkshire
Salary: £80 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)
Start Date: ASAP
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)? Teaching Personnel is seeking a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Beverley, providing essential support to students with complex needs.
About the Role:
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to support students with PMLD.
- Provide personal care, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Use communication aids and sensory resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting student independence.
- Support students with severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and medical needs.
Requirements:
✅ Experience working with children or young people with PMLD, SEN, or complex needs (desirable but not essential).
✅ A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
✅ A willingness to assist with personal care and physical support.
✅ Experience with PECS, Makaton, or sensory learning is advantageous.
✅ An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
