Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)? Teaching Personnel is seeking a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Beverley, providing essential support to students with complex needs.

About the Role:

• Work closely with teachers and therapists to support students with PMLD.
• Provide personal care, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Use communication aids and sensory resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting student independence.
• Support students with severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and medical needs.

Requirements:

✅ Experience working with children or young people with PMLD, SEN, or complex needs (desirable but not essential).
✅ A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
✅ A willingness to assist with personal care and physical support.
✅ Experience with PECS, Makaton, or sensory learning is advantageous.
✅ An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
